Kes Sampanthar
Event Organizer
As Director of Media Strategy at Cynergy Systems, Kes is responsible for leading the charge into the Media and Entertainment industry. Additionally, he is Founder and Director of Innovation for Metamemes where he has created a new innovation tool called ThinkCube.
Kes is an entrepreneur, inventor, computer scientist and consultant. He has 15+ years of experience in the technology industry, specializing in internet and software architecture. He is an award winning innovator and is recognized as a strategic thinker and consultant to some of the biggest names in the Fortune 500.
Kes attended TEDActive2010 where he experienced four days of gripping talks and engrossing workshops. Fueled by the creativity and passion he encountered, he left inspired to carry on the tradition of “Ideas Worth Spreading” and began organizing TEDxPennQuarter.

Shawn Broxson
Event Director
Shawn is Director of Marketing at Cynergy, where he aggressively protects their position as a leading software design and development agency. As the keeper of Cynergy's image to the outside world, Shawn is responsible for the website and Cynergy TV properties as well as public relations, video production and online marketing efforts. With a decade of experience as a former director of sales and marketing for a prominent Washington DC based interactive agency and advertising director for global online marketer, Shawn now spends his days shouting through various channels about Cynergy’s work. Shawn holds a B.S. in Political Science from the University of Florida.
Shawn oversees the high-level content of TEDxPennQuarter by recruiting speakers, developing the Innovation Lounge, and getting additional sponsorships.

Jessica Murphy
Event Coordinator
As Marketing and Event Coordinator at Cynergy, Jessica manages their event production, sponsorships, and attendance. She is also responsible for maintaining the company’s social media outlets and provides support to branding and PR efforts.
Jessica manages all the logistics of TEDxPennQuarter. She coordinates everything from the venue setup, catering, and materials to speaker organization and scheduling. She is also in charge of registration and volunteer participation. Additionally, Jessica utilizes the Facebook and Twitter page to spread the word and get more people involved.

Scott Wolfson
Communications Manager
As Communications Manager at Cynergy, Scott oversees video production and public relations efforts. Prior to joining Cynergy, he was an award-winning television news videographer in Salisbury, MD and Washington, DC, covering stories ranging from the annual World Championship Punkin' Chunkin' in Millsboro, DE to Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans.
Scott directs all of the video production from TEDxPennQuarter, including the live webcast and behind the scenes interviews with speakers and attendees. He is also responsible for creating all of our promotional videos, as well as the PR & media outreach to create buzz about this exciting event.
